Project Summary
New ground-up construction of a 45,555 SF library building for Las Vegas-Clark County Library District. Included in this project, was cafe and outdoor area. This library was designed with the concept of a feel-good oasis in the desert of Nevada.
Being clearly geared towards environmental friendly design, this project is certified LEED Gold with 90% recycled structural steel, mechanical implementations, plumbing, electrical systems, lighting control, an intrusion detection system, an audiovisual system, a CCTV system, a public address system, and video surveillance. Louvered glass windows were used for increased directional sunlight into the building. Clerestory windows, 3-form Ecorisen panel system, exterior and interior finishes, stone veneer, ornamental metals and terrazzo flooring were also added.
