Project Summary
As part of a phased replacement, Clark County School District (CCSD) adopted a program to benefit a number of schools, one being Mabel Hoggard Elementary School. Instead of tearing down the entire school, Rafael Construction, Inc. (Rafael) was selected to construct a new 57,950 SF, 2-story, stand alone building addition to the school. This new addition added 43 classrooms, multi-purpose rooms, and a much needed modern and expansive library on the second floor of the building. This new addition allowed the school, originally built in the 1950’s to step into the modern and mature age of learning and provide the necessary learning spaces for the children in the community. Also included in this project was a newly added parking lot that added 132 parking spaces to accommodate the additional necessary staff and visitor parking requirements
