Project Summary
The project cost came in at roughly $6M at 12,000SF and was completed on time (excluding added scope) in 11 months.
The project included 3 Apparatus Bays, polished concrete through-out, outdoor field tanks and underground tanks. The fire station included a full gym, full kitchen, and patios. The team was able to hold the schedule even with procurement/supply/long lead-item procurement issues due to the supply chain. Rafael Construction, Inc. worked diligently on procurement logs and solutions for each line item were provided such that the design team and the owner representative could make up-to-the-minute decisions. RCI sourced parts from alternative suppliers to meet schedule dates. Given the time period and current conditions this fire station was completed quicker than any other from start to occupancy.
