Ronald McDonald House

Ronald McDonald House II is a 20,000 SQFT, 8 Unit Living Facility for Families who need a place to live while a family member is in the hospital seeking help. This house is owned by Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Las Vegas. Ronald McDonald House Charities is an independent American nonprofit organization whose stated mission is to create, find, and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children.

Rafael Construction has been involved in The Ronald McDonald House II project since June of 2022. Ronald McDonald House II was in Preconstruction Phase from June 2022 thru May 2023. Ronald McDonald team approached Rafael when they were in need of help for VE options to cut the project from $7m to $5M. Rafael Construction was able to suggest multiple VE options such as eliminating the pitched roofing to flat roofing, downsizing the electrical requirements, and re working the mechanical work in order to meet the goal of $5M. Rafael Construction was able to come within budget meanwhile satisfying all the owner’s interests. Rafael Construction worked collaboratively with the owner’s and architect to coordinate the best consultants and donation contributions from all suppliers.
